In this video, we assemble a self-driving “Secret Service” Mel with Lego-like building blocks, teach it to drive backwards, and bring it to life with AI.
This Mel is trained using Deep Reinforcement Learning, a technique where AI agents learn to accomplish a goal based on lots of trial and error as well as being rewarded when they do something correctly. Every new combination of blocks learns to move in its own way based on custom training rewards and real-world physics simulation.
Mels are physically embodied AIs that represent a whole new kind of media that's only now possible thanks to state of the art technology.
Endless possibilities, ridiculous fun.
